Concordia Network Upgrade: Enhancing Your Campus Experience

Welcome to Your Summer 2024 Network Upgrade Hub

At Concordia University, St. Paul, we're dedicated to enhancing your campus experience. This summer, from June 17th to July 31st, we're upgrading our wired and wireless network to provide faster, more reliable connectivity. This page will be your central hub for all updates and information regarding this project.

Navigating the Transition

As we embark on this journey of improvement, here are some key points to keep in mind:

1. Embrace Change, Expect Disruption

Change often comes with disruption. Our implementation team is committed to minimizing any impact on your daily work. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

2. Adapting to New Daily Habits

Technology changes can alter daily routines. As we transition to the new network, you might face challenges in connecting your devices. Remember to give yourself grace and time to adapt. Building new habits takes time, and it's okay to seek help if needed.

3. Stay Informed

Clear communication is crucial. We will keep you updated on the project's progress, its impact on you, and any actions you need to take. Updates will be posted on this page, included in the weekly CSP Update, and sent via email. Stay engaged with these communications to stay ahead.

4. Fine-Tuning Takes Time

Post-implementation, we will fine-tune the network to ensure optimal performance. It might take some time before the network runs at 100% efficiency. Your feedback during this phase is invaluable.

5. You're Not Alone

If you encounter challenges, remember you’re not alone. Your colleagues might be facing similar issues. Share your experiences, provide feedback to the IT Department, and support each other through this transition.

6. Celebrate Your Wins

Celebrate every milestone, big or small. Overcoming the fear of change and mastering new skills builds confidence. Recognize and celebrate your progress as you adapt to the new network.
