Submit a paper to TurnItIn on behalf of a student

Background

The typical workflow for submitting a paper to TurnItIn is to enable TurnItIn on an assignment in My Courses (D2L Brightspace) so students can submit their own work. However, it is possible for instructors to submit papers to the TurnItIn service on behalf of a student. This feature is called Quick Submit.

It's important to note that students should be informed ahead of time if a paper will be submitted to TurnItIn on their behalf.

Instructors cannot submit papers on behalf of students within My Courses. Instructors will need to log into turnitin.com to use the Quick Submit feature.

Logging into turnitin.com

Go to turnitin.com

In the upper right of the screen, click on Log In:

Turnitin website header with navigation links and a red arrow pointing to "Log In."

If this is your first time logging into turnitin.com, you will need to click on the Forgotten your password? link and then enter your CSP email address. You will receive an email with instructions to reset your password. Note that this password is not associated with your CSP password.
