CrashPlan Backup Alerts

If you received a backup alert email from [email protected], this means either a current or previous computer of yours has stopped backing up and requires action. Please follow the instructions below when you receive this alert.

 

  1. Go to your computer’s search bar and type “Crash Plan” and hit the enter key to open the application.

    1. If you do not see this application, please email [email protected] or stop by the help desk between 9-4 PM Monday through Friday so we can re-install it for you.

 

  1. If you see the below image after opening the Crash Plan application, that means your crash plan is successfully backing up.

However, because you received an email from Crash Plan about a back up failure, this means an older device is still on our records. To stop receiving alerts for an old device, please email [email protected] the following:

 

    1. In the screenshot below, expand the “Restore Files” button on the right. Take a screenshot of the whole page so we can see both the current device name (left red box) and all the previous device names (right red box). Please send to [email protected]
