The Academic Technology Team has discovered a product defect regarding the display of content in My Courses. Below, we have outlined the defect and provided a workaround until a permanent fix is released.
Defect:
When trying to access discussions, quizzes, and assignments in Content, students see a blank screen in the content display area.
Workarounds:
(1) Check if the Grade Column associated with the content item is visible to students. If the column isn't visible it might be causing this bug to occur.
To check the visibility of the grade column, navigate to the grade book. Click on Manage Grades.
Check if this icon is shown to the right of the affected items associated grade column. If it is click the Carat next to the item and select the option to Make Visible to Users.
(2) The Academic Technology Team has added a link to the Assignments tool under the Tools section of the course Nav Bar. Students can also find links to the Discussions and Quizzes tool in the same section. As needed, instructors should notify students that they can use this Tools dropdown to access their course assignments, discussions, and quizzes.
