Turnitin Feedback Studio Overview

After clicking on a submission from the assignments tool, you will be brought to the "Feedback Studio." The first part of the Feedback Studio is the "Similarity Report." As you scroll down the students' submission you will see language that matches other sources highlighted in red, orange, yellow, or green. Each color corresponds to the following:

As you read click on highlighted text to exclude it from the report.

You can also exclude text by using the "filters" at the top right of the screen.

In this menu you can choose types of language or databases to exclude entirely from the report.

The second part of the Feedback Studio is "Flags." Click on the "Flags" tab at the top center of the page to look at instances of suspicious text or hidden characters.

Click the blue link "Learn more about Flags" for examples of what suspicious text and hidden characters are.

 

The third part of the Feedback Studio is "AI Writing." Click on the AI Writing tab to view the AI Writing Report.

This report gives you how much submission language might have been generated by AI and it is only visible to instructors. The submission must be between 300 and 30,000 words of English prose.
